I received a very unique Christmas present this year, being able to sit down after an amazing day with my family to watch a 3 minute feature air on TV3 news about Winter of Wells The Documentary. Dave Gooselink from TV3 did a great job on this feature which gives an accurate insight into the doco for all the viewers in NZ. Click the link below to watch the feature.

2:11 of 2011

I’ve created the short film above ’2:11 of 2011′ to say thanks to everyone for supporting me and share with you some of my favourite quotes from within projects that I’ve produced this year. I get the biggest kick out of you guys coming back to keep checking out my work, so a huge thanks goes out to you! 2011 has been a huge year full of learning and progression, I look forward to continuing this path in 2012. The titles in this short film were drawn up by my very talented girl friend Bel Jones and I’ve also displayed them below. I’ll be releasing some show reels soon but for now enjoy this & have a very merry Xmas!

Winter of Wells The Documentary Teaser 2

To celebrate the world wide launch of Winter of Wells the Documentary on itunes ( Click here to pre order your copy ) I’ve cut together this second teaser. This teaser is straight action, showing you some glimpses into the skiing that I shot for the documentary. ( Click here for the first trailer ) The documentary is being received really well around the world. We have premieres still happening in a large amount of countries in Europe, skiing magazines around the world cover mounting the DVD and TV/Cinema distribution on the way. Game on!

Austria Images

I’m slowly getting around to editing some images from my last trip to Europe and will be dribbling them out country by country. We spent around 12 days in Austria. Autumn was leaving & the first signs of winter were appearing. Our days were spent exploring, hiking, and enjoying how lush the whole country is.

Working with Atomic

The first snow settles on the hills surrounding the Atomic factory in Austria during October

Atomic have been my biggest client within the snow sports industry over the past few years and I figured I’d do a small post to show you a little from their head quarters in Altnmrkt Austria. ( Check this post from my first visit in 2009, or this sweet video )

Every time I’m in Europe, we head to the HQ to check out where all the decisions are made. There is a large factory where all the skis are produced and a bunch of offices. I kinda like to refer to it as an airport set within a small lush Austrian town.

Within the offices several images line the walls, some of which I’ve shot in the past years. It’s always nice to turn up and see them displayed nicely.

Myself doing some final touches on the doco from within one of the offices. The image above me is one that I shot of Byron Wells at Cardrona last year.

Winter of Wells Episode 23 – Behind the scenes Heli Shoot

A couple of weeks ago we released Winter of Wells Episode 23 exclusively with ESPN, how ever it is now available for everybody. In this ep we show you a little behind the scenes of filming for Winter of Wells The Documentary. I managed to get hold of the Shot Over Gimbal and had an incredible time operating it, the footage we got took the documentary to another level. In other WOW news, the documentary will be available on itunes early Dec. Details soon!
