I’m super stoked on yet another weekend of bmx. Hanging out with different crew, eating lots of junk food and talking smack. I headed down to Taupo with Devenport locals George Bolter and Ewok to check out the ‘Main Street Jam’. This is yet another one of Jed Mildons creations. The set up was a box jump to quarter pipe plonked in the main street of Taupo. There was $1000 cash up for grabs for first place, an amazing prize pool for a NZ BMX competition.
Some ridiculous riding went down at the jam with a decent crowd watching through out the whole afternoon. I’ll be doing some editorial for some publications so can’t give away too much on here but I will show you a few glimpses from the weekend.
First stop on the drive down was in Hamilton to check out Lurk in the flesh. A bunch of my prints are hanging on the walls and are for sale.
Second stop was at Paul Langlands trails in Cambridge. Got a bunch of sick shots with Paul, look out for them somewhere soon.
Third stop was the Taupo Jam. Interesting Box Jump to Quarter set up. The boys were sending it on both features.
Yet another guest appearance from Mike Davies. Louis Bolter chucks back a bull.
I shot a bunch of images from behind the crowds through shops, Louis Bolter pokes out a knack.
Jono Hopping was there
Jed was on fire, getting super amped on his home turf. He is one incredibly motivated rider that never dissapoints. Huge props to Jed for helping to build the New Zealand BMX Scene so much.
Ryan Mcrae was there shooting pics too. Ryans got a sharp eye, look out for his work!
Kane Ohagen was on fire too.
Jed all smiles after an amazing event.
George Bolter took home the $1000 for first! About to chow down a Celebratory Burger.
Passing out at the campsite.
