7D 2000 fps & Oton Bacar

A few months ago Oton Bacar wow’ed the whole wide web when he released an incredible BMX video filmed on a Canon 7D. He used a piece of software called twixtor, combined with amazing editing to slow down a lot of the action and mimic the effect you get from using million dollar slow motion cameras. It has close to 600,000 views on vimeo and I still enjoy watching it every time. Oton appears to be a very intelligent kid that hides behind a mysterious vimeo avatar and causes a bit of a stir in the video world.

This second video uses similar techniques, but he’s also included rain that he has made in Aftereffects. A tonne of time has been spent on this clip in post production, but its totally worth it. There’s my inspiration for the day!
